Mindmap workshop en warme choco...zo kom je aan de beste voornemens voor het nieuwe jaar.

Een mindmap geeft ruimte in het hoofd. Gisteren was er in hartje Amsterdam weer een mindmapworkshop waarbij men leerde deze visuele notatietechniek te gebruiken.

Als extra service hierbij een tiplijst:

1 mindmap software
2 Begin in het midden met een tekening van het onderwerp, gebruik minimaal 3 kleuren
3 Duid sleutelwoorden aan en schrijf tekst gebruik makend van kleine letters en hoofdletters
4 Elk woord of elke tekening moet alleen staa
5 Alle woorden en tekeningen moeten met elkaar verbonden zijn, waarbij je start in het middelpunt. Vandaaruit teken je dikke en vloeiende lijnen, die naar de rand van het blad steeds dunner worden.
6 Gebruik kleuren, symbolen en codes in de volledige mind map.
7 Benadruk belangrijke woorden
8 start pas met de volgende tak als je úitgedacht'ben over de eerste.

Haarlemmerstraat
Only a few minutes from your hotel…a busy, bustling street  ideal for strolling. There is a great diversity of stores, but it is also a great place to spend your afternoons and evenings, with a great number of eateries, bars and other nightlife possibilities. Honest, old-fashioned amicability from early in the morning until late in the evening. The Haarlemmerdijk (“Haarlem Dyke) and Haarlemmerstraat (Haarlem Street) used to be the road to Haarlem from the city centre. Albert Cuypmarkt
This market, Amsterdam's largest and busiest daily market , is situated near the famous former Heineken brewery. You can buy anything here from fresh fish to fresh fruit and fabric to footwear. Be sure to try the traditional Dutch delicacy of herring with onions and pickles. You will also find various exotic foods and herbs on display, stocked by and for the non-Dutch community. Prices are generally low but make sure you get value for money. A visit to this market will give you a taste of real multi-cultural Amsterdam street life. Begijnhof
A narrow, vaulted passageway leads to this charming quiet garden surrounded by old houses, in the very centre of town. The devout celibate Béguine nuns have been replaced by old ladies. The No.34 is the oldest house in Amsterdam. Entrance on Spui, just a step from the main commercial street Kalverstraat, is indicated by a carved sign. Entry is free. Museum Amstelkring
On the edge of the Red Light District, museum houses in the restored 17th-century canal house with two smaller houses to the rear. The lower floors of the building became a museum in 1888 and today contain refurbished rooms, as well as a collection of church silver, religious artifacts and paintings. Find the old church and look for the canal Oudezijds Voorburgwal…easy isn’t it?

Vondel Park
When you have tired yourself seeing the many attractions in Amsterdam, and need to enjoy some peace and green, head out to the Vondel Park. It was built as walking ground for the bourgeoisie in the 1860s, the English-style Vondelpark has an ambundance of ponds, lawns, thickets and winding footpaths to while away the hours. Its location, right in the middle of the city, makes it a regular haunt for locals and tourists alike. I love the open air concerts. This week on Thursday classical concerts at night. Take tram number one towards the overtoom.  Please also take a look at this interesting place

Boom Chicago
If you are looking for a few hours of non-stop comedy, Boom Chicago is the place to go. Started by a group of Americans, Boom Chicago has been a prominent name in the Amsterdam entertainment scene for over eight years now. The show is a mix of improvisation and sketch comedy, with has a lot of audience participation.

Supperclub   
Hip, trendy and cool clientele - Supperclub is the place to be seen at. There are no tables or chairs in this restaurant, instead you can enjoy your food in soft white beds to the accompaniment of great music and the occasional performance. The food comes in small portions, and is somewhat overpriced, but then you are not paying for the food, but the "experience".

Nemo
a centre for science and technology, you can discover natural phenomena’s and the world around you in an interactive and unique way. The motto of the museum is it is ‘Forbidden NOT to touch!’. The fascinating building with its green copper siding is the work of architect Renzo Piano. The slanted roof surface, towering some thirty metres above water, affords a breath-taking view of the centre of Amsterdam.

Bakkerswinkel High tea
Just in the mood for the most fantastic high tea of  Amsterdam? Walk towards the Zeedijk  and order the Old Backery high tea at De Bakkerswinkel. You will crawl each visit back to this place where you have tasted the most perfect pies of your life!

Rent a canalboat. Just for you and your favourite person. Stop at every café you’ll pass or go to the nearest supermarket and buy a pick nick…electrical motorboats you can rent at pureamsterdam.com.Be sure you make a reservation in advance! No James Bond Speed but relaxed fun!

Shopping tips for the ones at home…

If you're a "foodie" or have someone on your gift list who is, these Dutch food and drink gifts are sure to please.

Dutch Cheese 
The Dutch are world-famous for their long history of cheese-making, and for good reason -- it's delicious! Most cheese you'll encounter in Amsterdam and the Netherlands is of either the Gouda (pronounced "KHOW-duh" not "GOO-duh") or Edam variety, both of which get their names from Dutch towns. There are also several types of goat cheeses and farmer's cheese, or boerenkaas. I love the oud (old) cheese, which has a sharper flavour than jong (young), not unlike Parmesan. Leiden cheese, which features cumin seeds, is also a Dutch favourite. Be sure you have your cheese vacuum packed for getting it through customs.

Stroopwafels - Dutch Cookies
If you've never had a stroopwafel, you're missing out on one of life's best guilty pleasures. These addictive Dutch treats are made up of two thin waffle-cookie layers filled with sticky, sweet stroop (syrup). They're so buttery you have to lick your fingers, but too delicious to stop there -- I've never known anyone to have just one. The best place to buy them is either at the Albert Heijn grocery store -- I think the biologisch (organic) ones are best -- or from the man at the Albert Cuyp Market who makes them right in front of you. If you buy them at the airport or in souvenir shops, you'll pay triple the price.

Dutch Beer
I an not a beer lover, But if you are…go to De Bierkoning and you'll see what I mean. You'll find Dutch beers you never knew existed, including several from an organic brewery in Amsterdam, ranging from light pilsners to rich browns and dark stouts.

Dutch Chocolate
While the Swiss and the Belgians may be better-known for their chocolate, history tells us that the Dutch have long had a love affair with the cocoa bean. In fact, a Dutchman invented the cocoa press, which made chocolate-making easier and thus brought it to the masses. Stop by Amsterdam chocolate shop Puccini  i(to buy sinful bon bon’ s if you want your gift to look extra-special. But even the inexpensive chocolate bars, candies and cocoa mix on grocery-store shelves (good brands include Drosten and Verkade) make most American chocolate taste like mud.

Dutch Birthday Calendar
This is one of my favorite Dutch customs. The verjaardag (birthday) calendar is part of every Dutch home -- in fact, most people have more than one. The calendars are meant only for recording birthdays and they have no year, only numbered dates without the accompanying days. This means the calendar is timeless, which is more than you can say for other souvenirs at this price point! You'll find them in most gift, paper and card shops, with anything from Dutch children's book characters to Van Gogh paintings illustrating the pages.

Dutch Flowering Bulbs
We all know that the Netherlands is known for its gorgeous tulips and their bulbs, but some people may not realize there are other varieties of blooming bulbs to give as gifts. These include Dutch narcissus (daffodils) and hyacinths, as well as lilies, amaryllis, alliums and crocuses. Just be sure to buy only the pre-packaged kinds approved for international transport. At the flowermarket is the best buy.

Dutch Clogs and Wooden Shoes
For most people, the Dutch wooden clogs or wooden shoes are symbols of the Netherlands. You won't find many Amsterdammers walking around in them.  Except for my Dutch mothers. She loves them and wears them every day. ( really!)  Some rural residents and farmers do still wear them (they're great for walking in muddy fields). If you don't think your friends and family really want wood on their feet, an adorable alternative is a pair of wooden-shoe slippers, which you'll see hanging in almost every souvenir shop

More shopping…
Amsterdamis undeniably the shopping capital of the Netherlands. Besides the diverse mix of trendy, antique, modern, luxury, cheap, second-hand, lavish and everything in between, what makes shopping in Amsterdam so fun are the different personalities that emerge from each of the city's main shopping districts.

I've outlined my top Amsterdam shopping areas below, but take note: these don't even include the many open-air markets that deserve a category all their own.  See a market and see how the real inhabitants of Amsterdam look like. Whether you're window shopping or out to drop some serious cash, you're in for a complete range of choices with these picks. Happy hunting! My favourite shops you will find at:

De Negen Straatjes ('The Nine Little Streets')

The quaint "Nine Streets" area is by far my favorite shopping spot in Amsterdam, not just for its picturesque location - they straddle the Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht in Amsterdam's Central Canal Ring -- but for its original and diverse selection of stores. I never tire of strolling the hand-laid brickwork lanes, dotted with designer boutiques, cozy cafés, vintage stores and specialty shops. Look for "De 9 Straatjes" on the street signs and pick up a district shopping map from any of the charming retailers.

De Jordaan
Best for: Discovering hidden treasures in a funky Amsterdam area. It's fun to spend an afternoon getting lost in the maze of tiny streets in the heart of the bohemian-yuppie Jordaan neighborhood, where you'll stumble upon second-hand stores, artist's studios, small boutiques and galleries. Head to the busy Haarlemmerstraat for more clothing stores and plenty of places to eat after a hard day's shopping.

The  Spiegelkwartier
Best for:Antiquing, scouting local artists. On the pretty little canal (Spiegelgracht ) and narrow brick street (Nieuwe Spiegelstraat) just north of the Rijksmuseum, you'll find one after another of beautiful antique shops with art, furniture, Delftware, prints, books -- the list goes on and on. The many art galleries on the cross-street Kerkstraat are also part of this antique- and art-dense area, known as the "Spiegelkwartier." 

Dam Square Area
Best for:Rainy-day shopping. While it's not my favorite place to hang out all day (too ultra-touristy for me), the area around Dam Square does offer a wealth of shopping. My favorite is De Bijenkorf, a popular Dutch department store somewhat comparable to the American Bloomingdale's. The many mainstream stores of the nearby Magna Plaza shopping center (behind the Royal Palace) are open seven days a week until 7 p.m. (until 9 p.m. on Thursdays). Have a nice time in Amsterdam and hope to see you soon back again!

Hi Daisy,

Even de tijd genomen je een berichtje te sturen! Hartelijk dank voor de foto's, Erg leuk gedaan hoor. Ik heb zelf buiten ook nog foto's gemaakt, dus zal er een leuke compilatie van maken.

De dag zelf was voortreffelijk. Bussen waren op tijd, konden dichtbij parkeren en ook hadden we een prima locatie om weer opgehaald te worden. Ontvangst in het VOC café was goed. Liep vlotjes allemaal. De gidsen waren op tijd en goed geinformeerd en de wandelingen waren heel bijzonder. We hebben het ook wel erg getroffen met het weer!
Ik heb alleen maar positieve geluiden gehoord. Zelfs mensen die al jaren in Amsterdam wonen, vonden het erg leuk eens als tourist de stad te zien.

Boot was prima, eten goed.
Bediening was professioneel en zeer hartelijk en de croupiers zaten goed in hun rol! We hebben heel veel schik gehad en we hadden alle tijd om met iedereen te praten.

Kortom, een zeer geslaagd uitje! Dank daarvoor!

Even je neus op de feiten... vandaag een spannende dag gehad?

Ik heb een tic. Handig voor mijn bedrijf Puur Events. Vaak vermoeiend voor de mensen om me heen.

Elke week wil ik iets moois meemaken dat ik later ( zo rond 2065)  op mijn sterfbed zal herinneren.
En dan het liefts iets adembenemends gaaf. Het mag groot of klein geluk zijn. Als het maar nieuw, echt en mooi is.

Via Wouter Blok kwam ik laatst Jeb tegen. Jeb heeft het een tikje extremer dan ik. neem hier even de tijd voor. Muziek hoog en verbaas je over Jeb... gek of geniaal?

Niet vergeten de wingsuit op mijn lijstje voor de kerst te zetten.  Beter dan de stoffer en blik gisteren van de Sint.

Limolunch in de grootste limo van de wereld.

Zin in een limolunch? Dat kunnen we makkelijk voor je regelen. Lasershow, champagne..niets is ons te dol. Om alvast in de stemming te komen een fimpje van 's werelds GROOTSTE Limousine. Raar geval dat je voor ongeveer 50.000 euro per dag kunt huren. bedrag kun je verdelen over 40 man. Scheelt weer. Dit gepimpte geval staat in Amerika.. dus vergeet niet je vliegtickets er bij op te tellen.

Liever iets stijlvoller dan dit bakbeest? Kwestie van ons even bellen naar 020-6260016 of mailen info@puuramsterdam.nl. Dan wordt het heel anders dan een slap broodje bal in de kantine.

Wat was het goed! Feest lancering Twietmagazine

Eindelijk kwamen de gasten één voor één binnen. Mijn hart klopte achthonderd keer per minuut. Adrenaline tot over mijn oren. Ademritme als van een mus. Tijd om te doen waar ik me al weken op verheugde én waar ik goed in ben. Tijd voor feest! De eerste lach had ik al binnen; geen badges maar ‘tweets’ om het ijs te smelten. Nu was het tijd om de rest van mijn evenementwapens in te zetten. Deze avond moet gedenkwaardig en raar worden.

Waarom had ik gisteren zo de bibbers de eerste minuten van het Twietmagazine feest? Omdat niets zo moeilijk is als het betoveren van een gastenlijst als dit. Een mix van hardcore twitterazzi (de taart), glamour BN Tweeps (de slagroom) en de nieuwe harde kant van Twitter (het venijnige fruit). Ik ben een alleseter en ben dol op elke twittersmaak! Wat was dit feest lekker! Zelfs nu bij het schrijven van deze blog glunder ik nog na. Wat ik het gaafste vond? Alles! Twitter in 3D, de #twietmag lasertag mét vliegend vogeltje op mijn Westertoren, de Twittertaart van @zaligzoet, eindelijk een candyboy tijdens een Puur event (thanks Stefan), het charisma van vriend/ presentator Rob Captijn. Hoe het twittermagazine is? Ik bladerde tijdens de nazit in een exemplaar en werd er heel hebberig van. Eindelijk zicht op vele van mijn helden waarbij ik niet de cryptopuzzel van tweets, mobyfoto’s en filmpjes samen hoef te voegen. Grote fotoplaten bij de twitterazzi thuis …ach dode bomen maakt vaak dingen échter. Raar is dat.

Meest bizarre gisteren was wel de telefoonlezeres die met moeite de telefoons uit de knuistjes kom wringen. Ja, twitterazzi zien de telefoon toch als extra ledemaat. Doet pijn om zoiets even te missen. Denk dat je nu gewoon even een kop koffie moet pakken en op je gemak de foto’s/ films en blogs moet bekijken. 

Zo…en nu op naar het volgende twitter 3D event. Kersttwitterlunch…HO HO HO!

Mooiste vergaderlocatie van Amsterdam...al zeg ik het zelf.

De stad aan uw voeten! Absoluut de mooiste vergaderlocatie van Amsterdam. Voel de energie. Deze meetingroom maakt knopen hakken makkelijker en geeft elke training of workshop nét dat  extra duwtje. Geniet van het adembenemende uitzicht over Rijksmuseum, Dam, de haven en het historische hart van Amsterdam.  Alle moderne faciliteiten aanwezig.; WiFi, beamer, laptop, flatscreen, Wii (ter ontspanning) en een old skool flipover. Maar wat maakt deze vergaderruimte nu echt onweerstaanbaar? Uw eigen dakterras voor het ‘koning van Amsterdam’-gevoel en Café Hoppe op een koprol afstand voor de naborrel! Nieuwsgierig? Bel of mail....

Amsterdam krijgt een goudlaagje... De toppers zijn in town!

De stad is weer één groot holadiejee. De Toppers are in town. Samen met Schlijper zie ik de stad veranderen in bling bling.

Nu ook in Utrecht. Mag ik Puur* Willem Daan voorstellen?... Gaat een mooi seizoen worden.

Kras-kras-kras... Vanaf nu kunnen we beginnen met het schilderen van het nieuwe kantoor. En dat zijn heel veel muren!

Het lijkt maar een krap jaar geleden..

1993 Start op de Stadionkade. Bootje voor de deur en fax binnen handbereik. Een papieren archief zo groot als kleine mini. E-mail? wat is dat?
2006 Leliegracht. Dag en nacht zweten in een hokje met maar één raam. En dan ook nog uitzicht op een blinde muur. De Westertoren was heerlijk en riep om drie uur 's nachts dat we toch echt in de auto moesten stappen..Op weg naar huis.
2008 De grote verhuizing naar het Singel. Een zee van ruimte op 43 vierkante meter die volgens de huisbaas toch echt bijna 63 waren.  Boven banketbakker Lanskroon. IJs in de zomer, oliebollen in de winter. De deur werd steeds smaller.

2011 Dinsdag 15 maart, twaalf uur. We zetten onze handtekening onder het huurcontract. Weer een stapje verder...Twee etages en een rond raam! Adembenemend uitzicht over stad van mijn hart. Wat is Amsterdam mooi!

Zal het loopje naar het oude kantoor wel missen. We gaan 1 april over...of ietsje later.
